Main Job Objective

The Area Sales Associate Manager is responsible for developing the Travel Retail perfumes sales in
Europe and Africa. The person is fully accountable for driving the business within his/her zone and for
ensuring the highest level of brand presentation in the market.


  • Build, maintain and improve relationship with the business partners, interacting with all the necessary people in their organization
  • Successfully manage negotiation of commercial conditions
  • Assess and scout the markets of reference
  • Develop an action plan for the achievement of the yearly sales budget, through the definition of specific commercial actions
  • Proactively monitor order process and local stock issues
  • Manage products assortment
  • Protect brand positioning and improve brand ranking in the POS
  • Negotiate and effectively plan all the marketing activities by location, in agreement with local partners, within the allocated support budget
  • Manage all activities related to accounts receivables
  • Strictly monitor support budget expenses and create relative purchase orders
  • Perform presentations in the area/market of reference
  • Liaise with marketing/interior design for the personalization of the POS
  • Manage hiring process of beauty advisors and negotiate with external agencies their contract
  • Manage, coach and motivate sales team (field supervisor/beauty advisors)
  • Provide requested presentation and internal analysis


Qualifications / Professional Capabilities

  • Degree in Business studies, Economics or equivalent education
  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in International Sales; Travel Retail an advantage.
  • Entrepreneurial and economical skills with outstanding negotiation skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Knowledge of marketing, sales & forecasting processes
  • Team management
  • Strong team player with a natural sense of interpersonal relationships
  • IT-literacy (excel, ppt, SAP BW)
  • Fluent in English and French, any other language would be an advantage

Flexibility & mobility for 40% business travel, mainly in Europe
